July 7 Update - Submissions and Judging

Hey everyone!

Hope things are going well out there! Several of you have asked about Submissions and Judging and how this will work. Read and follow all these steps, s'il vois plait!   • Important: Make sure EVERY member of your team is registered on Devpost. Each team member has to be signed up to be eligible to compete.   • If you need any Mentor advice tomorrow, be sure and sign up for a time slot here! Mentors from Unity, EVS, RTBF, and more!!   • if you still want to use the Universal Music API and have not signed the agreement, do that tonight so we cam send you the token. Other suggested APIs here.    • Make sure your Team info is fully completed here.   • Please add your Discord handle on the Teams document if you haven't already asap. We will need to be able to easily contact you on Thursday for our live portion.    • Please identify specifically which challenge you are working on on the Teams document. Music Tech is not sufficient. List Music Challenge 1, 2, or 3 or Esports 1-5.     *** Here is a handy reference and explanatory video about How to Enter a Submission on Devpost. Please read carefully as this is your guide.    See Submission Requirements at the bottom of the Devpost page. I will recap here:   • Teams are required to build projects around one of the stated ESports (1-5) or Music Tech  (1-3) challenges.
• All code must be started and finished within the hackathon time frame July 3-9.
• Submission should be a presentable prototype (preliminary model), app, or tool ready to demonstrate or explain to judges.
• Submit a video demo of your project up to 3 minutes long <not longer as judges have limited time> (hosted only on YouTube, Vimeo, or Youku - these are the only platforms supported on Devpost). The video demo will better help the judges see how your project works since the judging will only be done online.
• Submit a link to a public GitHub repository with the code that was used to create the project.
• Include a description of your team and all your team member names, up to 10 people.
• 3-4 sentence description of your project.
